Connor brought a small cube projector called the RIF6 Cube into the studio today. It was to demonstrate his project DreamTime, a collaborative storytelling device. He used a raspberry pi zero to access his web server then used the small projector to display the content. This took me a while to realize but the entire setup was about 3 inches square.
It was such a slick way of improving the presentation and it was infinitely portable, running entirely on battery power. I believe he could even store the prototype on the raspberry pi if it was necessary to do so. It really made me consider the way we appear when we present our projects and ideas. It is really memorable when you do something different. “the one with the wee projector” can be a really important way to get your name known.
